What does it take to be a part of LIVEDIN IMAGES?

We’d love to have you join us. Here’s what we’re looking for as a baseline when we’re considering photographers:

• A demonstrated ability to shoot the kind of professional imagery that matches the quality and style of our current stock.
• Images that are color managed, retouched, and delivered fully model and property released.
• Images with an output of 48MB, 300dpi, 11X17, 8 bit RGB in tiff format.
• A portfolio that shows us that you love this work as much as we do.

Image Submission

We can review your material in three ways:

1. Your website - send us your url and we’ll visit your site.

2. Email us - as attachments, send us low resolution (less than 500k), jpeg files. please limit your submission to less than 20 images. send to:  submissions@LivedInImages.com.

3. Send us your low resolution images on cd. Please note, LIVEDIN IMAGES will not return submitted cds. Your cd will be destroyed upon completion of edit.

All images submitted to LIVEDIN IMAGES require model and property releases. This includes both amateur and professional models.  Avoid brand name products, logos and identifiable locations that require property releases.  We do not specify an amount of images required for initial review, however, please do a tight edit and only send us your very best work. We also request that all images be accompanied with specific location and subject details.

Contract Info

Detailed contracts are only provided to those photographers selected for representation by LIVEDIN IMAGES. In summary, we offer a five year, image exclusive contract with a commission split of 50/50 percent. Currently we represent images for rights managed and royalty free distribution.

Digital Requirements

If after the initial edit of your material LIVEDIN IMAGES decides to accept your work for representation, we will contact you with our full digital requirements.  We only accept professional high quality scans (minimum of 50mb).  We will review your initial high resolution submission to determine if your scans are of acceptable quality.  If you are shooting with a digital camera please note that, we require files from 10 megapixel professional cameras or larger.  The files that we accept have to be shot in raw format (only use the jpeg format when shooting very specialized details) and saved as 8 bit tiff files to send to us.  Do not compress your images.  Do not interpolate your digital camera files.

Other FAQ

How many images do you need to start off with and how many are required in each submission?

We don’t put requirements on our photographers with regards to the number of images submitted.  The only thing we do ask is that when you do a submission, please ensure that you do a strong pre-edit, taking out the weaker images.  Also, don’t send 15 shots of the same item, pick one or two that you feel are the best and send those.

How long is the editing process?

Depending on submission load, we aim to have your images edited and returned to you within 90 days.
